The East Newton Water Transmission Improvements Storage Tank project is currently ongoing and includes the construction of cast in place concrete foundations and structural steel for the tank shell. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, review of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records (WQR), performing visual inspections of structural steel welded connections and conducting ultrasonic testing (UT) of complete joint penetration (CJP) welds. All welding inspections and nondestructive testing are being performed in accordance with AWS D1.1 to ensure conformance with the approved construction documents and applicable codes.
