Geo–Hydro Engineers provided construction materials testing services for the construction of ALDI Store #65, a 22,000–square–foot grocery store located at the intersection of Monroe Road and Idlewild Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Services were performed in accordance with the project’s structural drawings and included full–time and part–time field and laboratory testing throughout construction. Geo–Hydro performed subgrade evaluations, proofrolling observations, and field density testing during site construction. Building construction testing included shallow foundation bearing surfaces evaluations, observation of reinforcing steel placement, concrete sampling and testing, reinforced masonry testing, floor flatness and levelness testing, and structural steel connection inspections.
