Construction materials testing and special inspection services were performed for The View at Welden Village, a multi-family residential development consisting of thirteen three-story apartment buildings and one detached five-bay garage. Services were provided in accordance with the approved civil and architectural drawings and project specifications.
Scope of work included field density testing of fill and utility backfill soils, proofrolling of building pads, foundation bearing surface evaluations for shallow foundations using hand auger and dynamic cone penetrometer testing, observation of reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement, and sampling and testing of structural concrete including slump, air content, temperature, and compressive strength cylinders. Special inspections of wood framing attachments were also performed. Testing and inspection services were conducted on a part-time and full-time basis as requested to verify compliance with project requirements.
