The project consisted of the rehabilitation of the existing park. The rehabilitation included a new multi-purpose field, three baseball fields, a community building, new bleachers with a press box, a concession building, and associated parking. Each building on the campus is constructed of concrete, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, and structural steel. Geo-Hydro performed construction materials testing, special inspections, NPDES Compliance, and AHJ inspections for the project. Complexity Highlight: The thru-bolts for the steel angle supporting the cold formed metal joists for the Community Building were unable to be installed at select required locations due to encountering the reinforcing steel for the bond beams. The design team was notified immediately to determine a corrective action, which resulted in no delays of the roof construction for the Community Building and overall construction schedule.
